Objectives

Portray chronological, shareable stories in the journey of Bosch Mobility Solutions and the modern vehicle.

Process

I started the project by researching types of chronological timelines as well as finding inspiration for imaginative and non-traditional websites. The nature of traditional timelines are expected to be horizontally linear while traditional websites are typically vertically linear. I worked with developers to explore how to modify standard browser controls in order to make a horizontally scrolling website with interesting yet subtle animations throughout.

Content was being developed in non-chronological chunks. As it was being delivered, I approached the work inside-out – by placing the important information in ideal areas of the screens and applying relevant visual content to support the primary. I did some loose sketching and wireframing of the main content areas and left placeholder areas for the transitions, knowing that they would need to be reworked once the content was complete.

Numerous versions of each sequence were sketched, wireframed, designed. Assets were delivered to the developers and we collaborated to adjust and improve motion throughout the story, resulting in the final product.
